Ruth's Chris is located at the Renaissance at Colony Park, 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, Mississippi.

You can submit your reservation by e-mail to reservations@mscfe.com; otherwise, please call Sharon Watson 601-960-9748 by noon on Monday, Mach 8, 2010.  If you leave a message, please state your name, employer, the names of any guests, phone number, and that you will be attending the CFE meeting.  REMINDER:  The Chapter is billed for reservation no-shows, so we have to bill you too.

Speaker and Topic

Mary Lambdin, CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE

Manager, Fraud, Forensic & Litigation Services

Horne CPA Group

"Fraud Investigation & Expert Witness Testimony"

Introduction:

Mary joined Horne in 2000 and is a member of the Fraud, Forensic & Litigation Services practice. She is an Accredited Business Valuator by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and an Accredited Senior Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers. Mary is also designated as a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Her litigation support services have included assisting in preparing attorneys for examination of experts, reviewing expert report, determining economic damages and claims from breach of contract, shareholder suits, lender liability, and marital dissolution actions. Mary has also assisted in investigations of financial fraud and uncovering various types of financial fraud. She has supervised and performed Sarbanes-Oxley compliance consulting/testing for SEC clients in various industries and has prepared SAS 70 reports for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. As a former owner of Oilwell Acquisition Company, Inc., she has more than 10 years of business experience and petroleum industry knowledge.

President’s Corner

I am pleased to announce that Ruth's Chris will serving filet mignon to order. 

Mary Lumbdin will be our speaker for the March 10th meeting.  She is a manager in the Fraud, Forensic & Litigation Services for Hone CPA Group in Madison Mississippi.

We are always looking for a variety of speakers with fraud as the main focus.  If you have someone that you would like to suggest as a speaker at a future luncheon, please let me know. 

We have canceled our May 14th meeting so that we may focus  our efforts on our annual seminar that will take place May 6th and 7th. 

We look forward to seeing you at Ruth's Chris on March 10th for great food and an exciting presentation.
